The arts professional learning community (PLC) on the SAS portal is up and running! Come and join us for collegial discussion and learning. You need an account on the portal to participate in the PLC. Go to and either sign in or create an account. Click on "Teacher Tools" in the top right corner, then on "My Communities". Search for the arts, and join our community.

A great advocacy video was posted on the Washington Post's website. Note in the comments that the filmmaker is making a full-length documentary about the role of the arts in education. This link has also been posted on the Advocacy page on this wiki.

The Education Policy and Leadership Center (EPLC) is looking for volunteers to be part of the Pennsylvania Education Advocacy Network.

The Pennsylvania Education Advocacy Network is a non-partisan statewide network of legislative district-based teams of volunteers (registered voters) who represent a broad range of education perspectives including early education; K-12; career education; special education; post-secondary education; libraries; literacy; arts; and museums. Teams include parents and students, professionals, lay leaders and other advocates. Team members are not expected to represent their employer or any organization with which they may be affiliated.
